what is the fittings difference between the water supply and
industry ?
UPVC (rigid polyvinyl chloride) fittings are categorized by application into two main types: supply/irrigation use and industrial use. The differences lie in their usage scenarios, performance requirements, and safety standards:
UPVC fittings for water supply and irrigation: Must comply with safety standards for drinking water/agricultural water, be non-toxic and odorless, resist bacterial growth, have pressure ratings suitable for municipal water supply and farmland irrigation, offer corrosion resistance, and provide low flow resistance.
Industrial UPVC fittings: Emphasize resistance to acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and corrosion, making them suitable for liquid transport in chemical, electroplating, wastewater treatment, and similar applications. Some may require higher pressure resistance and tolerance to elevated temperatures (within a relative range).
The following products are connection-type fittings (used for extending pipes):
Coupler, elbow (90°/45°), tee, cross, socket coupling, end cap, reducer, etc.
